Cooking: KindCasseroles for Seniors (Ongoing; no end date)

For some seniors, food assistance packages filled with staples are an optimal solution to their food insecurity because they do not cook. KindWorks is bringing you together with others to provide ready-made meals to senior citizens services by the Gaithersburg Cares Hub and living in the Hillside Senior Apartment Homes in Gaithersburg.

Help provide hot dinner (and provisions for breakfast the next day) for the residents at the Interfaith Women’s Center in Rockville on the first Wednesday of any month, from 6 pm-8 pm. Help by dropping off dinner, breakfast for the next morning, or some provisions for breakfast the next day.

So What Else operates a food bank Monday-Friday. Giving out around 35,000 meals every day, the food pantry welcomes volunteers to come and help feed more families. Volunteer responsibilities: setting up tables/tents, distributing food and supplies, creating produce boxes, and unloading delivery trucks.
